LOCATOR OVER-DENTURE ATTACHMENT

The locator implant, bar or root attachment system is designed for use with overdentures or partial dentures, retained in whole or in part by endosseous implants or by endodontically treated roots in the mandible or maxilla. In addition the locator cast-to-female can be used for those cases where a gold coping is required to cover and protect the root surface or as a low profile attachment to be incorporated into an implant-retained bar for bar-retained overdentures.
The locator attachment has self-aligning features provided by a built in guide plane which locates the waiting implant abutment. This allows a patient to easily insert their overdentures, regardless of their ability. Further more, patients can even bite their dentures into place with no harm to the locator attachment.
The unique patented dual retention provides a combination of internal and external retention. The male not only penetrates the female but locks around the female attachment. The male also pivots inside a permanent metal denture cap. This provides a full range of motion and a resilient connection.
The locator implant attachment is designed to reduce the height of the abutment restoration on all brands of endosseos implants, at the same time being incredibly resilient to wear. Replacement of the nylon males is simple as there is no need to core out the male. Just pry out the old male with the easy to use hand tool and snap in a new male.
The lowest profile attachment available, combined with the ease of insertion for the patient, and the increase in retention provided by this component, will make the locator attachment the clear choice for implant, root or bar retained over dentures.
